Lost

I got so lost this afternoon trying to find a home of a freecycler to pick up some boxes.

What a dope.  I was out there for 2 hours on the road with the boys in the back seat.

Thank God for Elmo, baby bottles, cheese doodles and Munchkins!!

Gearing up for the Weekend

It’s Friday.

That means major packing and sorting this weekend.

I’m putting many things in Freecycle but it’s so time consuming and having to rely on people coming to pick up and they don’t, can be a pain in the butt.

But, I’d rather see the stuff go to people that can reuse them and enjoy them for a little while, rather than just throw them out.

Seems like a waste to me.

One of the maintenance guys that have come to the apartment to work on the bathroom showed up to re-caulk around some of the tiles around the tub and he noticed Connor sitting on the floor laughing at Boobah.  He turned shocked and said, “you have another one?”  I said, yeah, my 3 year old is at day care and this one just turned 1 ten days ago.  He said oh I remember only the one.  I said yeah it’s been a while since you’ve been here and that’s another reason why we need the 2 bedroom apartment and not just 1 bedroom.

He said oh yeah, and bid goodbye.

Good thing they are both boys and can share a room for now.

02/16/06 - Word for the week
"Glen are you ready to change your clothes?"
"Yepperrr"
"Ok, now lets change your socks."
"Change my socks, yepperr"
"Glennn, go get your shoes and lets put them on."
"Ok, I got my shoes, and I sit down. Yepper"
"Let's get your coat and your brother so we can see Ms. Marlena at day care."
"OH YEAH, I go see Lena. YEPPERRR!"

Word of the week has been = Yepper!

Whats in your mouth?!?!?!
I had gotten Glen ready for day care for the most part except for his socks and shoes.
Well I guess he was ready to go even though we had a half hour before actually having to leave, and even though I didn't have any makeup on.
He announced to me that it was "SHOES TIME, SHOES TIME, It's Shoes Time Mommy!" I laughed and said ok.
Threw some makeup on my face really fast and took care of the socks and shoe situation.
He took his morning milk and put the left over in the refrigerator and when he came back into the livingroom he was chewing on something.
I was ready to panic and asked him what he was chewing on.
He said, "My chicken nuggets"
I asked, "from the frig?"
he said, "yeah, from the frig."
I snickered and said ok.
Seems his little container of left over Chicken tender strips was open when he went into the frig to put his milk away and he decided he wanted a bite of cold chicken tenders.

Moving
I hate having to pack things up and move. Specially the sorting and packing. It's sooo time consuming and tiring.
On top of that we are trying to give things away via Freecycle. Good things that still have life left in them for other people to use. So that's a chore in itself with sending out emails and making sure the right person gets the right bag with their name on it and then when you have more than one email from someone wanting the same thing, I can get easily confused, let me tell ya.
But we are moving from a one bedroom to a 2 bedroom, which means the boys will finally have their own room and most of their toys will be in THEIR ROOM and not in the livingroom.
I'm a B!tch about that sorta thing, so that won't be a problem with them keeping the toys in their room or putting the toys Back Into their room.
Next month brings new adventures of decorating the boys room and organizing boxes of stuff!
