Half Nekked Day Yesterday??
So was yesterday half nekked day?
For a treat last night, Red baby (20 months) didn't feel like going to sleep at a normal hour.  So after hearing him playing and squealing in the crib at midnight I proceed to check on him.  Only to find him running back and forth in his crib half nekked.  Apparently he had taken off his diaper and was enjoying that free feeling of nekkedness.  I started to laugh and ask him what the hell he was doing (of course he only laughs at me), and then he squealed loud enough to wake the Hubby from his sleep.
the Hubby asks what happened and I tell him, how Red Baby took off his diaper and is half nekked.  Not to mention that he's PEE'D all over the bed and must been standing when doing it cuz the rug in front of the crib is wet too.  the Hubby snickers and hides his head and asks if I need help.. I said yes please, while laughing at the baby, cuz he's happy as a pig in sh!t.
I put a new diaper on the kid while he's on the dry part of the carpet and then the Hubby looks after him while he's running around like the Energizer bunny.  I proceed to change the sheets and thank God for the plastic pee pee cover that I have on the mattress that makes clean up much easier.
I put a new crib wee wee cover and sheet on the bed then chase the boys down (dad and baby) who are now in the living room.  I bring out the clothes Red Baby needs to be changed into since he's also got his shirt wet.  I get the bottle prepped and the Hubby proceeds to put the new clothes on the boy.  I figure since the kid seems wired I'd stay up with him for a bit and the Hubby goes back to bed laughing at the half nekked boy.
Finally got to bed after 1am, when the kid finally went to sleep.
I realized that it musta been half nekked day because earlier that afternoon, Red Boy (3 1/2 years old) ran to the bathroom to pee and after he's done proceeds to tell me the toilet is wet.  He's standing in the hallway in front of the bathroom door pointing to the toilet with just his shirt on and nothing else!
I'm thinking that the toilet is over-flowing and I rush to see.. the seat is wet, but the toilet isn't over flowing.  I look over to the floor and Red Boy's jeans and underwear (still attached to each other) are sitting there. I pick them up and see they are a little wet.  Poor kid didn't make it on time.  He looks at me in fear thinking I'm gonna blow.  hehehee.  But I told him it's ok, to go get new underwear from his underwear drawer and come back to the bathroom.  I clean him up, he puts on the underwear, find him some shorts for inside the house, and I send him off to play in the other room.  Then I clean up the bathroom.  I figured it's not bad considering he's been potty trained completely since July and this is maybe the second time he didn't make it to the toilet completely and only one night time accident in the first week of night training.  So that's pretty good.
Especially since at 5am I wake and I don't remember how I know it, but I know it and I immediately say, "What's up Buddy?" as I roll over in bed to face the side of the bed where Red Boy is standing in the deep dark. He says something about needing a light.  I got up and asked if he had to pee and he says yea and walks really fast to the bathroom.   I follow right after him and make sure he's in the bathroom starting and I walk out of the room to close the bedroom door a bit as to not wake the Hubby with the hallway light. Red Boy yells for me to turn the light on!  I said I am, but it's bright.  I turn on the hallway light instead of the bathroom light, cuz it's super bright.  I left the bathroom door slightly closed too so it didn't shine on Red Boy's face, since he freaks when he's blinded by it.
After he finishes his business, dresses, flushes, he walks straight out of the bathroom and back into bed.  I tuck him in and shut off the light and I went back to bed too.  need to find a night light for the bathroom that doesn't require being plugged in.  We have the plug in the bathroom but it only works when the light is on. and the light is too bright for it to be on all night.

Musta been half nekked day.
